The Canadian Football Hall of Fame is in dire straits.
The city has provided the downtown Hamilton museum with a 100-thousand dollar loan to help pay debts due as early as next week.
Hall of Fame officials point to falling attendance as the biggest reason for needing the handout.
The Hall of Fame Board has been looking for a new location for the museum, which currently sits beside city hall.
There have been suggestions the Hall of Fame should be moved to Tim Hortons Field, but staff say the stadium is not “currently configured” to accommodate the hall’s needs.
