What to do with the City Motor Hotel land?

Hamilton, ON, Canada / AM900 CHML | Hamilton News

The eyesore may be gone, but the questions remain, what should be done with the site of the former City Motor Hotel?

Ward 4 Councillor Sam Merulla wants public input on what the area should include.

A design firm hired by the city has put forward a preliminary concept.

It includes eliminating the traffic circle and making part of that area into a greenspace.

The site also shows 13 townhouses, an apartment building with retail space on the ground level, and parking at the rear.

Merulla says a public meeting is to be held June 26 at Saint Columba Presbyterian Church, on Main East near Tragina, from 7 until 9pm.
