Halton MP being sought to replace Hudak

Hamilton, ON, Canada / AM900 CHML

Federal Transport Minister Lisa Raitt is being wooed to consider running for the leader of the Ontario PC’s.

The Halton MP has become the subject of an online campaign called “Draft Lisa for Leader”.

It joins similar drafts on Twitter for Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird and Tory MPP Lisa MacLeod.

The site says that Raitt “represents a generational transformation and offers real-life credentials that our party needs to be able to provide voters the real change they are looking for.”

Tim Hudak is leaving his post on July 2nd after the Tories lost nine seats in the June 12 election and handed the Liberals a surprise majority.
