The wait is nearly over for the Ticats

Ticats fans have been waiting for 7 months.

It has been 7 long, excruciating months since Hamilton’s Grey Cup dream was crushed by the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

And the wait is now just a couple of days.

This Sunday night in Regina, the 2013 Grey Cup combatants will square off for the first time since November’s championship game as they open the regular season.

It will be a celebration for the Riders, who’ll get to relive all the excitement of their championship season.

While on the other side of the field, the Tiger-Cats will be licking their chops at a chance for redemption.

Hamilton lost all three of their games against Saskatchewan last season and would like nothing more than to spoil the party on Sunday.

Both teams have many questions to answer in game 1.

For the Roughriders, can they repeat without the likes of Kory Sheets, Weston Dressler and Geroy Simon?

For Hamilton, is Zach Collaros the next big thing in the CFL?

Some answers will be revealed on Sunday, and Cats fans are glad the wait is finally over.
