Hamilton Police have announced the arrest a man in connection with a string of sexual assaults targeting sex trade workers.
Police say the man was actually arrested on April 15th, the day after the most violent in a string of nine attacks that police believe is the work of a single, serial sex offender.
In the days following the arrest, the suspect was charged with two more assaults and more charges were laid Friday.
The attacks that have been made public date back to May of 2012.
The suspect has been charged in five of the nine attacks.
Forty-two year old Douglas Roy Griffin of Hamilton is charged with five counts of sexual assault, one of assault causing bodily harm, two counts of assault and one count of threatening bodily harm.
He’s scheduled to appear in court Monday for a bail hearing.
