Remember all the hoopla that was being made earlier in the week about a Lake Ontario shark?

Don’t worry if you can’t, it turns out it was all a hoax.

The YouTube video was supposedly taken at Wolfe Island near Kingston, where Lake Ontario meets the St. Lawrence River, which eventually flows into the Atlantic Ocean.

Lots bit the bait and we all now know that Discovery Channel has a feature called Shark Week.

So from a PR tabloid stand point I guess they achieved their goal…

However, I thought Discovery was an educational channel?

Would National Geographic pull a stunt like this?

We all love a good joke….but….

 What have we learned today?

We have learned, you can’t believe Discovery Channel?

I’m not sure that was their intention.….

Enjoy the water!

 I’m Scott Thompson.

  1. I thought the stunt was hilarious. It just goes to show you how ignorant the masses are about nature in general. Makes me wonder what they actually teach in schools about our surroundings, Better put those gadgets and cell-phones down for a moment and look around, Folks ! There is a whole different world out there !
