A Burlington man has been jailed in Indonesia on allegations of child sexual abuse at a Jakarta school.
Forty-five-year-old Neil Bantleman has spent the past four years working as a learning co-ordinator at the Jakarta International School.
Family members in Burlington say allegations Bantleman abused kindergarten age children at the school are ridiculous.
Guy Bantleman says there’s no evidence against his bother, whom he calls “the most honourable person you could meet.”
He’s petitioning Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird to get involved.
The Australian, British and American embassies have issued a statement saying they’re deeply concerned about the arrest of Bantleman and an Indonesian teacher at the school.
