Hamilton’s Police Chief is going to have to sit down with some of his critics.
The directive was issued by the Police Services Board after a recent letter to three Police Board members from Interval House Executive Director Clare Freeman.
The letter was asking them not to approve an extension of Chief Glenn De Caire’s term.
Freeman says the number one call for police is for domestic violence and fears the voices of victims are not being heard.
Chief De Caire says he wants to make a presentation of the police procedures and practices surrounding domestic violence and says he will be writing to Interval House directly to set up the meeting as soon as possible.
