Will it be two wins in a row, or back to the drawing board for the Tiger-Cats?
1-and-3 Hamilton hosts the Blue Bombers Thursday night at Ron Joyce Stadium, looking to build on their victory last Saturday against Ottawa.
The Cats have won five straight games against Winnipeg, including all four meetings last season.
But these aren’t the same Bombers of 2013, the team that managed to win just 3 games all season.
Winnipeg has burst out to a 4-and-1 start, thanks in large part to the play for new starting QB Drew Willy.
He has brought stability to a Bombers team that was shuffling pivots in and out of the lineup quicker than a fast food joint shelling out burgers and fries.
Add a good defense and special teams and you have yourself a more than competitive team.
One of the biggest questions for the Ticats is whether quarterback Dan LeFevour can repeat his Player of the Week performance this week?
He may not need to be that good, as Hamilton’s offensive line has improved since game 1, and maybe more importantly, the Cats defense is getting better with each week.
It should be a good game, one that I think will go right down to the wire, and that the home team will squeak out a W.
