The Hamilton Chamber of Commerce wants to make sure the Pan Am Games leave a positive and lasting economic legacy in Hamilton and the province.
It’s laid a out of a series of recommendations to make sure we maximize the impact of the games in the community.
Chamber President Keanin Loomis says we need to be ready to take advantage of the thousands of tourists who will be coming to our city.
He says it’s critical that plans are in place to make sure those tourists stay in Hamilton to take advantage of the retail, restaurant and hotel’s the city has to offer.
He points out 4,000 tickets are being made available for the VIP’s to each of the soccer games being played at the new stadium and the local business community needs to be ready to build relations with those officials that can lead to new business opportunities once the games are over.
