Tense time for the Lancaster

Hamilton, ON, Canada / AM900 CHML

Might have been some frayed nerves at The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum today.

It’s prized possession, the Lancaster had to make a forced landing in northern England.
The museum’s Facebook page said the aircraft landed safely without incident after a “precautionary engine shutdown.”

A large trail of smoke was seen coming from one of the engines as it landed at Durham Tees Valley Airport.
