Some students at Cootes Paradise Elementary School may have to make do, with a temporary set up when classes begin tomorrow.
The new wing at the former George R. Allen School is not yet ready.
Parents were informed by the public school board on Friday that the new wing failed a city inspection for an occupancy permit.
It has eight new classrooms and six washrooms.
The board says it hopes to set up temporary facilities in unused parts of the building and pair small classes together in order to accommodate students tomorrow.
The school’s gym, parking lot and playground also remain under construction.
There is another inspection planned for Wednesday and it’s hoped that a passing grade will be given at that time.
