Here we go again.
The 2014 NFL season kicks off tonight in Seattle when the defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks host the high-powered Green Bay Packers.
I love these Thursday night games because its a teaser for a football filled weekend, which includes Friday night’s CFL fare.
The NFL is a monster, backed by billionaires, and loved by millions more… its like a drug you can’t get enough of.
Come Tuesday morning, we’ll be pining for more action.
Many pundits this preseason, including Las Vegas oddsmakers, are predicting a Super Bowl rematch between Seattle and Denver.
I really like the Broncos and Seahawks, but the odds of both of them making it back to the big game are remote, in fact, it hasn’t happened since Dallas dummied the Bills in 1993 and ’94.
If you’re looking for other teams to jump into the spotlight, look no further than New England, New Orleans, Philadelphia and San Francisco.
My biggest riser this season is Atlanta, while the team that I think that is going to fall down hard is Kansas City.
As for the combatants in Super Bowl 49, I’ll go with the Broncos over the Eagles.
