The Tiger-Cats have signed defensive tackle Linden Gaydosh through the 2015 season.
The first overall pick in the 2013 CFL Draft was released by the NFL’s Carolina Panthers last month after attending training camp, as well as spending last season on the NFL team’s injured reserved list.
In four seasons at the University of Calgary, Gaydosh recorded 90.5 tackles, six sacks and 14 tackles for a loss while starting all but one game on the defensive line.
The two-time Canada West All-Star and second-team CIS All-Canadian in 2011 helped the Dinos capture four consecutive Canada West championships.
The 23-year-old Peace River, Alberta native won the Peter Gorman Trophy as the top rookie in Canadian university football in 2009 and the defensive MVP of the 2010 Hardy Cup.
The Ticats have also added former Argos receiver Terrell Sinkfield to their practice roster.
The native of Minnetonka, Minnesota played in three games with Toronto, catching seven passes for 90 yards and one touchdown before he was released on August 26.
The former Northern Iowa receiver has also spent time with the NFL’s New York Giants, Baltimore Ravens, Green Bay Packers and Miami Dolphins.
