The St. Catharines patient put into isolation this week as a precaution against Ebola has tested negative for the deadly disease.

The man turned up at the Emergency Department at St. Catharines General Hospital with “flu like symptoms” and was put into quarantine after it was discovered he had recently travelled to West Africa.

The lab tests have come back negative.
