That was more like it.
At least on the scoreboard.
But there are still some concerning warts to address following the Raptors’ 98-87 win over the Pacers last night, which evened their 1st round playoff series at 1.
First the good, Jonas Valanciunas, who scored a career playoff best 23 points and added 15 rebounds.
Indiana’s Paul George said it best after the game, JV has “been huge” and they have to figure him out.
I’m concerned about is the health of Terrence Ross, who sat out the 2nd half after going through the concussion protocol.
The team says Ross had “no clear sign of a concussion” but added he did have a headache.
Hopefully he’s okay.
Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan continue to struggle.
And I’m not sure if it is the Pacers’ defence, or whether Lowry and DeRozan are just off their game.
Plain and simple, playoff time is when NBA superstars come to play.
So if Toronto’s top two players want to be considered among the elite, they better bring it, and fast.
