It’s a unique way to illustrate a topic that some may find uncomfortable.
Close to 50 businesses, organizations and buildings in Hamilton, Halton and Niagara will be lit green during Canadian Mental Health Association’s 65th annual Mental Health Week, which starts today.
The campaign is called #GETLOUD.
It’s hoped people speak openly and honestly about mental health and the importance that positive mental health plays in our lives.
Some of the lit buildings in Hamilton include City Hall, LIUNA Station, First Ontario Centre/Hamilton Place, Hamilton Police Service divisions and Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King.
Joe Kim from the CMHA, Ontario branch, says the campaign has now hit Toronto.
In Niagara, the Peace Bridge, Niagara Falls, Skylon Tower will be lit green tonight.
