Ontario’s police watchdog is investigating an alleged sexual assault involving a Hamilton Police Officer.
Neither the Special Investigations Unit nor Hamilton Police have released the officer’s name.
The SIU says the allegation was made on April 26 and in order to protect the identity and privacy of the complainant and others involved, no further information was provided.
The Spec is reporting that the allegation involves two officers in a secluded room at a police station.
Hamilton Police issued a statement, saying they are aware of the allegation, and the officer in question has been re-assigned.
