Just imagine what it must be like to see a wall of flames approaching your home?
To feel claustrophobic from the smoke and heat that is surrounding you?
Not having to be told to evacuate because you can smell the danger all around you.
Like you’re in a race against nature’s monster to save you’re most prize possessions including your life, while you are fleeing for it?
Not knowing where you’re next meal will come from, where you will sleep, your next tank of gasoline, who you can call on?
Wondering where your family is because your cell phone is dead, jammed, or concerned a tower is knocked out.
Knowing you must, at that moment, be anywhere but here.
That has been the life for people of Fort McMurray as a major forest fire races through them.
A moment to realize what is precious.
A moment to realize the need to help…
You can do so by contributing to the Canadian Red Cross.
