Health Canada is investigating a controversial American who claims to use natural remedies for cancer.
Brian Clement of the Hippocrates Health Institute first came to local attention when two Six Nation’s girls were taken out of McMaster Children’s Hospital by their parents, abandoning chemotherapy for Leukemia, and moved to the Hippocrates facility in Florida.
One died and the other has resume chemotherapy.
Health Canada says the investigation is over allegations Clement is selling unlicensed health products in Canada.
The agency says it has not issued any Natural Health Product Licences for any product containing the name LifeGive in the brand name nor to a company called Hippocrates Health Institute.
The products are sold online.
Clement was at a health and wellness fair at the Six Nations reserve last weekend.
