Paul Miller is demanding accountability, again, for what he calls the “fiasco” around the construction of Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton.
The NDP’s Tourism, Culture and Sport Critic says completion and handover were rushed in order to ensure the stadium could be used for the Pan Am Games.
Miller says the result is that both the city and Hamilton Tiger-Cats have filed notices of action over construction delays and deficiencies, including hundreds of seats with obstructed views.
“Enough is enough,” Miller said during Question Period. “Who did the Premiere hold accountable for this two-year delay and who will she hold accountable for the cost for this province run into the tens of millions of dollars?”
Miller also wants to know how Pan Am executives collected over $800,000 each in salaries and bonuses when such claims were “imminent”.
