I just found out an old friend has cancer.
I can’t stop thinking about it.
I can’t stop thinking about how he is feeling, how he is coping.
What his family and his children must be going through.
How his life has been greatly altered with the news.
Then the memories started flooding back, the times we spent together.
The way our paths have interwoven throughout our lives.
Not having regular contact but always knowing where the other is and what they’re up to.
We all preach cherish the moment, live life to its fullest, but why does it take a situation like this make us realize it?
What I now must do is something we all never do enough of when life is good…
Reach out and be there,,,,
