It’ll cost a little more for you to hike at Spencer Gorge and Webster’s Falls on weekends.
The Hamilton Conservation Authority is hiking the fees in an effort to control the number of visitors.
As of May 21, visitors will pay a $10 parking fee and a $5 per person admission fee.
The parking fee also applies to the Tews Falls site.
The Conservation Authority says the number of visitors has almost doubled from 2013 when there were about 80,000 visitors.
The increase endangers the eco-system including century old trees and sensitive plants.
It’s also has created traffic and parking issues for locals.
