I went to go and see my daughter in her school play last night.
The grade 6, 7, and 8’s presented a politically correct version of Peter Pan.
Go back and watch the cartoon to follow that story.
That’s another commentary about another time.
There were 138 kids involved in everything from crew, staging, costumes and future thespians.
Alicia is in grade 8 and was ‘Tinkerbell’ and if you know my daughter you might say that was type casting.
Opinionated and always buzzing around your head. My wife says, like her Dad.
At her age I couldn’t remember to do up my pants, let alone remember a line.
I never had any lines because I was too scared to try out for anything.
I certainly didn’t have the confidence or nerve to stand alone and sing, especially in that costume.
If I sound like a beaming Dad, I am, and very lucky too.
