Hamilton council won’t be voting on a motion regarding LRT this week after all.
It’s now been put off till early June.
And when the motion does go before council, it may not have the same “put up or shut up” feel to it.
The original motion put forward by Ward 4 Councillor and LRT supporter Sam Merulla was worded to “reaffirm acceptance” of the billion dollars the province has earmarked for LRT.
Merulla says he has discussed the issue with Mayor Fred Eisenberger and says “more consultation is needed” with council colleagues.
He’ll also be reworking the motion before it goes to councillors next month.
