Hamilton’s director of transit David Dixon is stepping down from his post after spending just under two years in the role.
City councillors were informed through an email from city manager Chris Murray this morning.
Dixon says there was an unexpected change to his career trajectory in the form of an unsolicited offer.
“This is a great city, I’ve really come to like it alot”
“Would have thought, I would have stayed here for the rest of my career but this opportunity came along and I decided to seize it.”
Dixon won’t say where he’s going at this time.
His departure comes as the city embarks on a 1 billion dollar LRT project.
June 18th will be his last day.
