Hamilton’s Mayor says there’s “nothing not to like” within a new marketing strategy launched by the city’s 13 business improvement areas.
Their collective message is “One City – Spend It Here”.
It’s been presented to the city’s general issues committee, which has approved a motion to study the feasibility of a city-wide launch of the branding campaign.
Mark Tharme of Muse Marketing Group says part of the message, is that if you live or work near a B.I.A., look there first to do business.
At the next level, Tharme adds that the strategy recognizes that all 13 BIA’s have “unique business mixes” to explore.
Mayor Eisenberger sees it as “an add on” to the city’s buy local strategy, as well as an add on to the city’s small and medium-sized business focus.
