Tryouts are underway for the 59th annual CANUSA Games.
The competition between Hamilton and Flint, Michigan will be held in Hamilton from August 5th to the 7th.
Tryouts and practices are listed at canusagames.com and the CANUSA Games Facebook page.
Organizers are also looking for local billets to open their homes to the athletes from Flint.
The 2016 CANUSA Games were scheduled to be hosted by the Flint and Genesee County community.
But with Flint focused on dealing with its recent water quality issues, the event was moved to Hamilton.
The Games are expected to draw over 1,200 athletes competing in 15 sports at various venues in the city.
Athletes range from youth to adult, with the majority between the ages of 10 and 17.
While competition is a major part of the Games, the real focus is on creating and fostering international friendships.
