Three o’clock last Friday at the John Sopinka Courthouse was one of the most emotionally charged moments in recent Hamilton history.
It seemed as if we all held our collective breaths until finally we heard the verdict that we all wanted to hear; guilty of first degree murder.
And, as sentence was passed on those two cold blooded murderers, we’re told that in a final attempt at intimidation, Dellen Millard tried to stare down Sharlene Bosma and Sharlene just stared right back and smiled; justice had been done.
Sharlene and the entire Bosma family have inspired us by being the epitome of strength and grace throughout this entire ordeal.
This trial is over now, and the Bosmas lives will go on, but without Tim, and that won’t be easy.
But, their faith in God and their faith in each other, that carried them through this trial, will be their greatest strength.
I’m proud of how the Hamilton community rallied around the Bosmas and I hope that support helped them along the way.
Life will go on for all of us, but we’ll never forget Tim and we’ll never forget the strength and courage of the Bosma family.
