A Burlington man will appear in court next month after a pedestrian was hit and killed in Oakville.
Donald Weir has been charged with careless driving in connection with a collision on June 5, that claimed the life of a 86 year-old woman.
Halton police say Mary Murray was hit and then dragged under the vehicle for a short distance.
She was taken to Hamilton General Hospital with life threatening injuries and died the following day.
It was Halton’s ninth traffic fatality this year.
The 66 year-old Weir will be in court August 9.
