Max’s Big Ride sets off Saturday morning.
5 year old Max Sedmihradsky and his father will ride a specially-equipped cargo bike from Ottawa to Hamilton for the second straight summer to raise money for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Last year, the pair raised over $55,000 to fund research and to help find a cure.
Max was diagnosed with the fatal disease three years ago.
He has recently been granted special access to a new drug that slows the progression.
Funds raised will help pay for research to benefit all boys via Jesse’s Journey, which raises money for research in gene and cell based therapies focusing on Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
