The Hamilton Tiger Cats have weighed in on the city’s LRT debate.
The team issued a statement, supporting the $1-billion dollar project, calling it “a significant investment in Hamilton’s future that will improve transit infrastructure”.
The ‘Cats are the latest voice in a growing chorus of those who want the system.
Earlier this month, six local MPs and MPPs wrote open letters in favour of the project, along with seven former mayors and regional chairs.
One big retractor of the idea is former mayor and current MP Bob Bratina, who says the city shouldn’t rush on LRT.
