Charges have now been laid after a 70 year old woman was mauled by a dog on the lawn of her Cannon Street East home last week.
The City has laid charges of allowing a dog to bite, having a dog at large and having an unlicensed dog under the Responsible Animal Ownership bylaw.
The fines total just under 700 dollars.
City spokesperson Ann Lamanes says she isn’t sure how many times the woman was bitten.
Reports last week indicated the injuries were not life threatening.
She says the dog was signed over to Animal Services by the owner and remains in quarantine.
