A Hamilton man is facing charges after being arrested in a McDonald’s drive-thru.
The 22-year-old driver placed his order at the fast food restaurant on Golf Links Road just before 6:30 Saturday morning and was awoken by the employee after passing out.
The employee asked the man to pull his vehicle off to the side and wait for his order.
That’s when a police car pulled up to the drive-thru window and was told about the man who passed out.
The officer, who had ordered a coffee at the start of his shift, searched the man’s vehicle and found cocaine.
The man has been charged with driving while impaired by drug and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
