The province’s police watchdog has cleared a Guelph police officer of wrongdoing in an incident last summer involving a naked man.
He and another officer responded to several reports of a naked man walking along a street.
Once they found him and slapped on the cuffs, the SIU says the man became combative and kicked one of the officers.
The final report says one of the officers struck the man once and the suspect was taken to hospital with a fractured nasal bone.
The finding is that the use of force was appropriate.
