New statistics show home prices in Hamilton jumped 9.6 per cent in the second quarter compared to a year ago.
The Royal LePage House Price Survey puts the aggregate price of a home in Hamilton at 408-thousand dollars.
Median prices for bungalows and two-storey homes also increased by 11.3 and 9.3 per cent, respectively.
However the median price of a condo in our city went down 0.7 per cent to 236-thousand dollars.
Nationally, the price of a home in Canada grew by 9.2 per cent in the second quarter compared to a year ago, to a new average of just over 540-thousand dollars.
