The Hamilton Bulldogs announced that the club has signed former Ancaster Avalanche goaltender, Cole Ceci to a Standard Player Agreement.
The 18-year old was drafted 10th overall in the 2014 OHL draft.
In 32 regular season games with Ancaster, Ceci posted a 2.57 GAA, and a .921 Save Percentage.
He also appeared in 10 playoff games, including an 85 save performance versus St. Catharines.
“Cole is the type of player and person that we covet for the Hamilton Bulldogs. He is a tremendous person, and has a relentless work ethic,” Bulldogs President Steve Staios said via media release. “Combine that with great athleticism, we feel that Cole provides us with more strength at the goaltender position.”
Hamilton will open its 2nd season in the Ontario Hockey League September 23 when they visit the Mississauga Steelheads.
The Bulldogs play their home opener September 24 against the Kingston Frontenacs.
