Provincial Police have released the name of a migrant worker killed while riding a bicycle along Highway 5 last weekend.
56 year old Moran Andreas Dominguez was from Mexico and had worked as a seasonal employee at a Rockton nursery for the past 11 years.
He was one of two seasonal workers who was struck from behind in the area of Sydenham Road by a car driven by a 76 year old Burlington woman. The second man was seriously injured but is expected to recover.
The two men are among thousands who leave their families for several months each year to work in Southern Ontario’s agricultural sector.
The investigation continues into the fatal collision, but to date, no charges have been laid.
