Some controversial ads have been removed from Hamilton bus shelters.
The ads are from the Christian Heritage Party urging restrictions on which public washrooms people who are transgender can use.
They show a man entering a door marked “Ladies Showers,” and include the phrase “Where is the justice?”
The city’s Jasmine Graham is apologizing for the ads saying the city strives to be a welcoming community and is committed to equity and inclusion.
Ward One councillor Aidan Johnson says he will bring forward a motion at today’s city council meeting, pointing out council’s resolve to avoid any such incident in the future and reaffirm council’s support for trans equality.
