It’s time to turn Hamilton’s thriving health care sector into a money maker.
The Hamilton and Ontario Chambers of Commerce are out with a report suggesting health care is a growth industry that is going to form the basis of the city’s the economy over the next several decades.
Hamilton Chamber president and CEO, Keanin Loomis, says we need to be well positioned to tap into that to reap the benefits.
He says it means that all levels of government as well as the business community need to work together with the researchers and medical community within the city to help ensure their health care products and innovations are marketed across the country and internationally.
He says those efforts are already well underway.
Loomis says the results will boost the economy and in turn, help pay for our growing health care needs.
