A Hamilton Police officer has made a court appearance today for charges stemming from his arrest during a Toronto police gang bust last year.
Craig Ruthowsky is facing numerous charges including commissioning of an offence for a criminal organization, breach of trust, bribery of an officer and obstructing justice.
He was previously a member of the Hamilton Police Guns and Gangs Unit.
A publication ban has been issued by the judge, preventing details of the proceedings from being revealed.
Project Pharaoh resulted in 60 arrests, the seizure of 33 kilos of cocaine, 196 thousand dollars in Canadian cash and and 18 thousand dollars American and 14 firearms.
