They’ve created quite the stir.
They’re called ConvoPlates and they’re designed to get people talking about mental health.
The plates are created by teens with messages on each plate.
Brian Hansell got the the idea for the plates after his son Paul, a first-year student at Brock University, lost his life to suicide.
Those that get a plate are asked to share that they are part of the conversation on social media, using the hashtag #ConvoPlate and pass the #ConvoPlate to someone else.
There’s 60 plates in circulation, with 300 more planned for the next year.
A special #ConvoPlate is being designed and will be presented to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, Chicago, when they appear in Hamilton on October 29.
