So where does last night’s Ticats-Argos clash rank in your Labour Day memory bank?
Top 5, top 3, best all-time?
Trailing 27-7 late in the second quarter, Ticats fans must have thought “what in the world is happening?”
In the second half, everything happened.
A turnover filled first 30 minutes forced the Tiger-Cats to put on their rally caps again as they stormed back from a 13 point deficit at halftime to beat the hated Argos 49-36.
Zach Collaros threw 4 more touchdowns, and now has 14 in four games.
He’s averaging 377 passing yards and 3.5 TDs a game since his return from ACL surgery.
The defence also came alive in the second half, forcing three turnovers and battering Ricky Ray into submission by the time the final whistle sounded.
I’m left wondering though, why have we seen the Ticats start slowly in so many games this season?
Watching epic comebacks, like last night’s game, is fun.
But against the CFL’s better teams, the strategy won’t work.
