The Ontario Hockey League is launching a mandatory program for its players that will teach them how to respect women.
League Vice President Ted Baker told CHML’s Scott Thompson Show, it will deal with issues like sexual violence and hazing.
In the past six years, several players have been investigated for, or charged with, abuse or sexual assault.
Others have been disciplined by the OHL for abusive and sexist behaviour.
Baker says the program, put together by Ontario’s sexual assault centres, will fully launch in November.
