Over the weekend most acknowledged it has been 15 years since the world changed on Sept 11, 2001.
If you are old enough to remember, most can recall exactly where they were and what they were doing when they first heard the news and saw those images.
It’s interesting how our view of the day has changed in 15 years.
That first year changed the way we travel and crossed borders.
When the first anniversary arrived many were concerned of another attack.
Despite seeing the horrifying images for a week straight after the attacks, they all but disappeared until the 10th anniversary.
It seemed then the mourning was over and it was no longer in bad taste to show the two planes crashing into the World Trade Centers.
Now at year 15, 9/11 has become another historic memorial like those of the Second World War.
The only difference is, this anniversary reminds us of a problem that still very much exists, and continues to terrify.
