Another massive investment has been announced at McMaster.
University officials say the 75 million dollar repair, retrofit and expansion of its science and engineering facility will result in modernized labs and greater research capacity.
McMaster President Patrick Deane notes that infrastructure is an ongoing challenge, and research is only as good as the people and the places where it is happening.
The federal government is paying half of the bill, funding the project to the tune of 37 million dollars.
The province, Independent Electricity System Operator and the university itself are also partners.
