Andrea Horwath continues to demand that the provincial government stop the sell-off of Hydro One.
During her latest appeal in the Legislature, the NDP Leader has highlighted the story of Ernie Warner and his wife, a retired couple that live in her riding of Hamilton-Centre.
Horwath notes that their last bill was for $760, up 20%, because they must run a home dialysis unit during peak hours.
She accused the Premier of making the Warner’s pay the price for her “privatization schemes”.
Premier Kathleen Wynne stresses that the Liberals had to invest in a “neglected” electricity system, because Conservative and NDP governments failed to do so.
