Yet another rope rescue is underway by the Hamilton Fire Department.
Fire crews have responded to Chedoke Falls where a person has suffered a leg injury.
The circumstances of the rescue are not yet clear, but a tweet from the fire department says the patient has been “packaged to begin extrication.”
Over the last two weeks, city politicians have been discussing the possibility of charging people a user fee when the fire department has to perform such rescues.
Today’s rescue brings the total for the year to 23, eclipsing last year’s tally of 19.
