Here we go again.
The Blue Jays and Rangers begin their best-of-5 American League Division Series Thursday afternoon in Arlington, Texas.
First pitch flies at 4:38pm, and if this series is anything like last year’s meeting, we are in for a great ride.
Of course, the highlight of last year’s series victory was Jose Bautista’s big homer, and bigger bat flip.
Rangers infielder Roughned Odour grabbed headlines earlier this year when he punched Bautista in their final meeting of the regular season.
Players from both teams are saying all the right things, expecting both teams to stick to baseball.
And I think that will happen, for the most part.
If one team is getting blown out there’s no question in my mind that the losing team will want to make a statement, or send a message, to their opponent.
Whether it’s a hit batter, or a hard slide, it’s going to come it is just a matter of when.
But when the Jays win this series in five games they’ll have the last laugh.
