Just when you thought that Donald Trump couldn’t get any worse, came the audio tape of Trump’s lewd description of his sexual conquests and attempted conquests with women.
The day after the tape was made public, Trump apologized, sort of.
He said he was sorry, then launched into a lengthy tirade about Bill Clinton.
So, Trump wants America to forget what he did 10 years ago, but condemn Clinton for his alleged actions of 20 years ago; yet another example of Trump’s twisted logic.
Sadly, things got worse at Sunday’s debate as Trump creepily stalked Clinton around the stage for 90 minutes in a performance that was long on vitriol and short on facts.
But maybe the most telling point in the evening was when Trump threatened Clinton, suggesting that if he were President, she would be in jail.
Never mind that Clinton has already been investigated by federal authorities, who found no illegal activity with her e mail controversy, but Trump threatening to jail a political opponent by abusing the power of the Presidency is a new low , even for Trump.
Those are threats you’d expect from a megalomaniac dictator, not a President of the United States.
Even Republican leaders are distancing themselves from Trump now; American voters should do the same.
